Sage Lab Project

My client called with his idea for Sage Lab Project; propagating white sage (Salvia apiana) in his home laboratory and garden for ‘wild’ cultivation throughout city spaces in Los Angeles county. I was immediately excited about his project to provide the healing, clearing, and calming energy of this sacred plant, native to Southern California, to those who might unexpectedly and synchronistically encounter it growing in an urban environment.

After my initial discussion with the client, I knew I wanted to present a sprig of white sage growing out of the ‘L’ in Lab, as if rooting in a laboratory beaker.
